History

The hull was contracted out to the Caledon Shipbuilding & Engineering Co. Dundee, by Scotts S.B.& E.Co. due to the shortage of available slipways.

Dec 8th. 1941. Seized off Amoy by the Japanese, and renamed "Kinmon Maru" in Jan. 1942.

June 10th. 1944. While unloading in Singapore, she caught on fire and was destroyed.
